Chester Crematorium is located in the grounds of Blacon Cemetery and serves communities in Chester and across West Cheshire. Opened in 2o13 the strikingly attractive building accommodates 160 seated mourners with the option for 50 more standing.
The crematorium incorporates numerous state-of-the-art AV features including options to load memories of the deceased on to large screens and select from a vast music library which can be played over the quality audio system. The traditional Book of Remembrance is present and can also be viewed online. Live Streaming services and recording of the ceremony are also offered.
A covered area has been constructed which provides the opportunity to view floral tributes undercover.
The Garden of Remembrance is landscaped in an attractive circular design. Land adjacent to the Crematorium has been allocated to host up to 1500 future memorial and burial plots where the lives of the deceased can be marked with a modern or traditional memorial.
Webcasting Services
We work with select providers to offer webcasting and recording services so that families can capture funeral services for those who cannot physically attend. Services are captured by a discreetly located camera at the back of the chapel, allowing friends and families to be a part of the service without ever leaving their home. The funeral service can be watched live on any digital device.
Our Memorials
Our range of cremation memorials are designed and produced to the highest standards that epitomise the very best of traditional and contemporary cremation memorials available.
Memories are personal to you and your memorial should reflect this. Memorials help people to remember and celebrate a persons life and therefore we advise that you visit the crematorium to speak with our staff before making a final decision.
