Glass Beach Pebble – Memorial Ashes into Glass
What is it about pebbles that fascinate us so much? Childhood memories, holidays, their form, shape, size, weight? Their colours or the smooth feeling in our hands. So often you come back with them in your pocket, or children simply insist that this or that pebble must be taken home.
These Glass Beach Pebbles are made from glass here in Devon and feel just like those you find on the beaches here, they contain a small amount of a loved ones ashes. Simple, discreet and tactile you can keep a loved one close forever.
Like a pebble each one is unique, sizes vary approx 6cm by 3 cm. Available in Light or Dark Grey and can be personalised with engraving.

Tiny Pebbles
No one notices
The tiny pebbles.
How much space
they can hold;
How much meaning
They can possess.
No one realizes
That small things
Can be big things
They start of small
But grow, and grow;
Those small pebbles
Hold everything.
No one understands
That those pebbles,
Tiny as can be
Hold bigger things;
Taking them away
Sends huge, rolling boulders
Your way.
Keeping some of the ashes is a memorial keepsake
Many people keep their loved one’s ashes at home, some because they are not sure what to do with them, some because they are not yet ready to do something with them and some simply want to keep them close by, in the house.
Sometimes, very well meaning, friends will give advice such as ‘it’s time to move on’ or ‘you’ll feel better if you scatter/bury them’. But only you will know how you feel about the loss of your loved one and only you will know when and if the time is right to do something else with the ashes.
