They are non-toxic and entirely biodegradable. Made by hand here in Devon, using our original design from natural beeswax and coconut shells.
Use them in your water ceremony by getting those gathered to light the candles at an important part of the ceremony. Then set them on the river/lake/sea and watch them drift off alight. It could make a really special ending to a ceremony or be used as a time for quiet reflection or prayers.
Inspired by the amazing Hindu ceremonies in Varanasi, India. Where families gather on the steps by the Ganges and place their loved one’s ashes into the river along with petals and floating candles. According to Hindu tradition the light helps to lift the spirit. It is an amazing sight and creates a fabulous spectacle. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee the weather, but lighting a candle will create the right setting for remembering your loved one. This way of remembering people is used by many cultures for thousands of years.
