For the past 60 years the Bendall family have served bereaved families all over Dumfries and Galloway.

The late William and Nan Bendall (Ian’s uncle and aunt) started the ball rolling. They ran the funeral business alongside their furniture removal and renovation business until William’s death in 1985. Ian then took over the responsibilities of the funeral side of the business bringing a new approach and professionalism to the firm.

We now boast a modern, stylish fleet of vehicles, refrigerated mortuary, embalming suite and modern offices here in Castle Douglas, and an additional branch office in Dalbeattie.

Our informal and practical business philosophy cunningly conceals a highly organised and efficient no nonsense approach to this most sensitive service.

We do not believe in making a drama out of a crisis, but we do believe in looking after and caring for our families.
