Eulogy or Obituary:

Georgina Lilian Paine, born 20th October 1938 – died 3rd February 2024 aged 85.

Georgina was born 20th October 1938 to parents Lilian & Edward Delves. She was the youngest of their 3 children; Edward (teddy), Jean & then Georgina. Unfortunately all 3 children of Lilian & Edward have now passed away, Georgina was the last.

Georgina got married at the age of 19, to Geoffrey Alan Paine on 11th May1957 and they had 4 children; Christopher Paine, Karen Gordon, Timothy Paine & Geoffrey Paine.
Unfortunately Georgina lost her husband on the 14th June 1986 & later on in her life she lost both of her siblings & her two sons, Christopher & Geoffrey who both sadly died young.

Georgina had many jobs but her most treasured memory’s come from working as a school cook – she made friends for life & thoroughly enjoyed her work as she LOVED to cook & bake.
Her chocolate concrete was one of a kind & enjoyed by many!

Her life was filled with joy and laughter and as time went by the family only got bigger. She had the pleasure of seeing two of her sons & her daughter get married & was blessed with many grandchildren & even great great grandchildren.

Georgina made many memories & most of them were made in her home in birmingham. Later, in that same house, she shared many years living with her two sons; Chris & Geoff. Her other son Tim, moved into the house next door which he shared with his wife Karen Paine (nee Robinson) & Georgina’s two grandchildren Adam & Emily. Both houses being next door to each other felt like one big giant home!

Anyone who knew Georgina knew she was a huge animal lover, she had a number of dogs & cats!
In fact, one of her favourite past times was to take her dogs (Holly & Tilly) on holiday to Brean alongside Chris & Geoff where they stayed in their caravan & sometimes met up with Georgina’s sister, Jean & her husband Don. Oh how she loved a trip to the caravan.

Georgina had a wonderful life that was full of ups & downs, she endured so much loss & yet she still managed to be the happiest & kindest lady to everyone. She is missed more than she could ever imagine. There isn’t enough words in this life to even begin to describe Georgina, but just know that she was an incredible lady who was adored by all & will remain in our hearts forever.

Rest in peace, our Queen bee.
