Eulogy or Obituary:

Timothy Edwin. Grover, 61 passed away on May 1, 2023 at home in Kokomo, Indiana. Born on December 2, 1961, at Dukes Hospital in Peru, Indiana, Tim was a loving son, father, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Tim was the son of Barbara Grover and the late Leroy E. Grover. He is survived by his mother, his daughter Bailey (Kohl) McCully, his son Layton E. Grover, his sisters Cathy (Kent) Eiler, Rhonda Vore, and Donna (Randy) Lange, his brother Tom E. (Kim) Reed, and numerous nieces, and nephews. Tim was preceded in death by his father and his brother-in-law, Dave Vore and his beloved dog Snowball.

A graduate of Haworth High School, Tim went on to earn a degree in engineering from Purdue University. His intelligence and strong work ethic led him to a successful career as a Tool and Die journeyman. Tim also served his country with honor in the United States Navy on the USS Holland from 1980 to 1984, a testament to his dedication and commitment to the nation he loved.

Tim’s adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors were evident in his many hobbies. He was an avid boater, water skier, and snowmobiler, always seeking new ways to enjoy nature and the thrill of adventure. Tim’s passion for music was another defining aspect of his life, as he was a talented drummer who could often be found playing along to his favorite tunes. Tim loved to read about real life events and was such an avid reader.

In addition to his many interests, Tim was known for his exceptional culinary skills. He was a great cook who delighted in preparing meals for his family and friends. His generosity and love for others were evident in the care and attention he put into every dish he created.
Those who knew Tim would describe him as adventurous, intelligent, and generous. He had a zest for life that was contagious and inspired those around him to live life to the fullest. As Helen Keller once said, “Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all.” Tim embodied this quote, embracing every opportunity to explore, learn, and grow.
Tim’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of his family and friends, but his memory will live on through the countless lives he touched. His adventurous spirit, intelligence, and generosity will never be forgotten, and his legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Tim’s memory to the Kokomo Humane Society. A celebration of Tim’s life will be held at a later date, with burial at Marion National Cemetery with Kokomo VFW Post 1152 honor team preforming military honors, where family and friends can come together to share stories, laughter, and tears in honor of a man who truly lived life to the fullest.
